Description and features of the DVR2 regulator
The DVR2 is the well established and regarded solid state dynamo voltage
regulator from MTML.
It is a modern electronic 'solid state' replacement for the original electromechanical
'CVC' regulator units on Classic Motorcycles equipped with dynamo
electrical generation. It features excellent charge voltage stability from
the lowest revs to maximum speed, zero low speed battery discharge into
the dynamo and high fault tolerance.
The DVR2 promotes better lights & properly charged batteries . . . .
- 6 or 12 Volt selectable - change voltage at any time
- Positive & Negative earth versions
- Size - 65 x 33 x 18 mm.
- Small enough to fit in Lucas or Miller case
- Or mount on its own with two M4 screws
- Fitted with heavy duty 3 mm diameter leads and good quality 4.7 mm hexagon crimp terminals
- Use with Lucas or Miller and other (Field wired to earth) dynamos
- The DVR2 employs a machined aluminium alloy case for excellent heat transfer and a slim unit

Available in positive and negative earth versions, 6 or 12 V selectable.
Set to 6 V by connecting an additional (white) wire, 12 V by leaving it unconnected (insulated).
The module is compact and does not run hot.
This means it can be fitted as a stand alone unit, in a toolbox or bolted to rear mudguard, etc.
or housed in either a Lucas or Miller regulator case, to maintain original appearance.
Price for one regulator is £44.00 (including VAT @ 15%) and
postage within the UK
The DVR2 may be one of the lower cost regulators available but
its performance and reliability is superior to competitors.
With the DVR2 there is no battery discharge to field at low revs
Battery voltage is stable (above cut in speed) regardless of your speed
Dynamo will start up (and be regulated!) with no or very low battery
